On discovering that the planning application for 650 houses to the east of the Showground where the Speedway and Grandstand sit had been refused by Peterborough City Council Planning Committee on 15th October 2024, the promoter of Truckfest Colin Ward got in touch with the Peterborough Speedway Consortium hailing it “Good News!”

Mr Ward went on to say that he didn’t see any issue with putting the Truckfest event on this part of the Showground in the future and said he “would love to return with Truckfest, Peterborough has always been regarded as its home”. We certainly hope that one day this can be realised.
